FAQ
What officials ask us first.
Plain answers to the questions that come up in the first meeting. If yours is not here, bring it to the demonstration.
Does our footage go to your cloud?
No. The work happens on the site, on a dedicated AI unit that sits with your recorder. We do not take your footage to our cloud to process it. How it sits on your site.
Do we keep the cameras we have?
Yes. Patroller AI works with the security cameras and the recorder already on your site. Nothing is replaced.
What are Patroller AI Guard and Patroller AI Detective?
The two flagships, and they are equals. Guard watches every camera, all the time, for the things you told it matter here. Detective searches what the cameras recorded after something has happened, and returns clips with the camera, the time, the place and one line on why each matched.
How do we tell it what to watch, or what to find?
In ordinary language, the way you would tell a new guard. “Tell me if anyone stays on a platform for more than 15 minutes without boarding.” “A lady left a black backpack near the food court around 2:30. Where is it now?” That is the whole instruction.
Is it different for a metro, a mall or a plant?
The product is the same. The job is different, and so are the words. A station controller watches for someone lingering on a platform. A mall security desk asks where a lost bag went. A plant safety lead asks Guard to flag anyone on the line without a safety cap. See the 22 jobs.
Can it tell us when someone is not wearing a helmet?
If the cameras can see it, you can write it as a watch: “Tell me if anyone on the upper slabs is not wearing a helmet.” Guard brings forward what it sees, with the picture and the clip. Your safety team decides what happens next.
What if the request is vague?
It asks one short question, then starts. If the request is already clear, it simply starts.
Does it recognise faces or read number plates?
No. Picture search is visual matching, not identification: Detective says what looks alike, not who someone is. No number plate is read.
Who decides what a clip shows?
Your people do. Patroller AI brings the picture, the clip and a short reading forward. An authorised person looks at it and decides what happens next.
Does an alert reach us when nobody is at the screen?
Yes. A Guard alert reaches a phone while it is happening, with the picture and the clip. The person on the phone decides what to do.
Will routine things keep raising alerts?
Not once the site has taught them. Site Memory learns what belongs, once, from a clip or a still: the night cleaners, the milk van, the maintenance crew. Anything nobody taught it still comes forward.
What does it need from our site?
Three things you mostly have already: the security cameras, the recorder or video-management system they feed, and a place for a dedicated AI unit that Patroller Systems or a systems integrator installs. How it works.
Is this what people call AI video analytics?
Yes. We call it AI video security, because the job is security, and it runs on the video you already have.
We already have a systems integrator. Do you work with them?
Yes. They keep the customer and the site. We supply Patroller AI, product requirements, training and deeper product support, to them. Partners.
What is the next step?
Book a demonstration. If you have a situation in mind, something that happened or something that should never happen, we build it around that. If you do not, we show you what is possible with your cameras and your site.
See what your
cameras can do.
For your site. For your customers’ sites.
